“A New Beginning: Rescuing Hope for a Little Lost Puppy”
On our journey to find and rescue abandoned dogs and cats, we encountered many happy, well-cared-for dogs with loving owners, which lifted our spirits. But our mission continued—there were still animals out there without caretakers, struggling to survive. We wanted to bring them hope, too.
After hours of searching, we spotted a tiny puppy lying by the roadside. I walked over, heart aching as I saw the little white dog, its fur caked with mud, lying there and panting heavily. Gently, I took a soft towel from my rescue bag, wrapped it around the puppy’s fragile body, and lifted it into my arms. I didn’t know where its mother or owner was, but I could see this little one was exhausted and scared. Stroking the puppy softly, I vowed to care for it, stepping in where its mother and owner could not.
I scanned the area for any sign of its family but found nothing. With the help of a local official, we completed the adoption process, and I took the puppy to a nearby veterinary clinic for a thorough checkup. There, surrounded by other animals awaiting care, my heart swelled with a deep love for them all. The vet examined the puppy carefully, noting it was very young, with no teeth and small ticks clinging to its skin. The puppy’s temperature was stable, and it weighed just 0.6 kg. The vet dewormed the puppy and gave me advice for its care, emphasizing the need for milk to nourish it. I took the advice to heart, determined to make up for the care this puppy had been denied.
When we got home, I bathed the puppy gently in warm water. At first, it was scared of the water, but slowly, as I massaged its little body, it seemed to relax. It was like all its past misfortunes were being washed away. I wrapped it in a soft towel and dried its fur gently, ensuring it wouldn’t catch a chill. The puppy seemed more at peace, curling up in a soft nest I had made. I prepared a bottle of warm milk, and though it was unfamiliar to the puppy at first, it soon learned to drink. Holding it close, I promised to care for it as if it were my own. Now, as it sleeps soundly, I watch over it, my heart full of hope for its future. I invite everyone to join us in caring for these homeless animals, sharing love and kindness so every animal can feel safe and cherished.
